Private development
Site civil design for quick-serve restaurant and retail rollout programs, commercial and light industrial development, and mixed-use projects. Work covers site layout and circulation, grading and earthwork, utility routing and connections, accessibility compliance, and preparation of permit and construction document sets. Prototype-driven programs are supported across multiple sites, with standards applied consistently throughout the rollout.
Transportation
Roadway and corridor design for access improvements, turn lanes, private roadways and frontage works. Deliverables include horizontal and vertical alignments, corridor models and assemblies, superelevation and widening design, cross sections, earthwork volumes, and plan and profile sheet production. Corridor models are constructed to remain editable by the client’s design team following handover.
Stormwater and hydraulics
Drainage design and analysis from catchment delineation through to the supporting report. Scope includes detention and water quality facility sizing, storm sewer network design with hydraulic grade line verification, culvert analysis, and channel and floodplain modelling. Reports are prepared in the format required by the reviewing authority.
Land planning and due diligence
Early-stage site assessment for developers and site selection teams, including constraint and opportunity mapping, floodplain, wetland and soils exhibits, parcel, easement and right-of-way research, assembly of existing utility base information from record drawings, and zoning and setback analysis. Deliverables are prepared as presentation-ready exhibits for client and stakeholder review.

Forefield supports engineering firms and developers across the United States and Canada, providing design production within the client’s own CAD environment and to the standards of the governing jurisdiction. Engagements are structured on an hourly basis against an agreed weekly allocation, with production scheduled outside North American business hours so that review comments issued at the close of one working day are addressed by the start of the next.
Typical work includes site civil packages for retail and restaurant development programs, drainage design and supporting reports, roadway and corridor production, and sustained plan set and markup turnaround.
India
Nationwide
Forefield provides civil design services to developers, contractors and architects across India, from site feasibility and concept layout through to construction documentation. Design is prepared in accordance with Indian Standard codes, IRC guidance and the development control regulations of the relevant local authority.
The practice additionally supports Indian consulting firms with design production and CAD capacity on a project or retained basis.
